Doug has more than 35 years of consulting experience, including 10 years at Velis’ parent organization Lochmueller Group and before that, 25 years growing a St. Louis-based engineering consulting firm where he served in multiple capacities including President.

Chris leads ours supply chain consulting practice, including network planning, transportation optimization, inventory optimization, warehousing, and technology solution development. At Velis, Chris is responsible for client management, project management, quality control/quality assurance, and business strategy, blending an analytical and practical approach to his customers’ supply chain optimization needs.
Chris has 11 years of logistics and supply chain experience, focusing on freight optimization, load planning, cost analysis, and mode conversion. Chris spent over a decade with industry leader J. B. Hunt Transport, overseeing regional operations for all their customers including many Fortune 100 firms.

Chris manages our Engineering team, providing optimization, simulation and data analytics solutions for our clients. Chris has over 17 years of engineering and analytics experience spanning the logistics, supply chain, and mobility planning industries.
Throughout his career, Chris has supported shippers, carriers and public agencies alike with identifying transportation and supply chain problems, and developing cost-effective and implementable solutions. Prior to joining Velis, Chris worked for Anheuser-Busch in Logistics at their North America Headquarters. His responsibilities included network planning, inventory strategy, and warehouse optimization.
