Toyota’s Manufacturing Plant in Princeton, Indiana was experiencing traffic congestion at employee shift changes as well as conflicts between staff and truck movements in and out of the site. We collected field data and performed observations to understand existing issues. We developed and tested a range of innovative design options, incorporating changes in access and parking configurations. Toyota implemented our recommendations and realized improved capacity and optimized site access.
