Keefe Group is the nation’s leading supplier of food, personal care products, electronics, clothing, and technology for the corrections industry. They operate a supply chain network of 22 DCs serving over 10,000 customers. We performed a network design study to identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve customer service levels. We applied industry leading network optimization tools to evaluate a range of scenarios that included new DCs, modified customer-DC assignments, and the consolidation of existing DCs. Annual savings of nearly $6 million was estimated.
