We completed an assessment of the costs and logistics for the extraction, stabilization, and transportation of coal combustion residuals (CCR) from the ash pond systems at four different coal fired energy sites. We evaluated the main energy center, assessed several extraction and stabilization methods, and evaluated them based on feasibility, safety concerns, environmental impact, costs, timeline and more.
